I felt a connection to him right away and we absolutely drove each other crazy for 20 years but we also loved each other so much. I feel lost without my best friend.

“I will miss listening to his voice when he excitedly tells a story, the mischievous twinkle in his eyes (especially when he was trying to upset me for no good reason), watching him get emotional in a sweet moment, or to talk to his family, but what I miss most at the moment is just him.

“My wish through all of this is that River at least has his daddy with him now and I hope you both have the best time. . . I’m not ready and I don’t want to say goodbye.”
